What is interactive wear?
Interactive where is the idea what your clothing can interact with you and your environment. It can create an interaction with everyone that uses it, an interaction that can be shared in this post covid world of isolation.
The first range of products from interactive wear include T shirts with more to come, including mugs,tea towels,stickers,camping gear.
The next generation of the technology is so exciting,more on that later.
Without giving too much away...Interactive wear uses custom generated qr codes that can pull videos from the worlds largest and most amazing video data base,YouTube.
How did Interactive wear start?
Interactive wear started from the idea that right now we use QR code check ins everywhere, they all do the same thing each time and have become quite mundane.
We wanted to make a QR code that was different,one that couldnt trace you, one that was completely annonymouse to use,one that always brought a different experience to the user.
Interactive wear started off as idea that came about while riding an electric bike up and down the back lane. I was telling everyone that the electric bike was the future of the bike riding experience. Then I realised..we are only at the beginning of what QR code technology can do for the average person.
What do Interactive wear codes do?
Interactive wear QR codes are all themed. My personal favourites are EDM,V8 and Foodies.
Every time i scan EDM it pulls up on my phone different Electronic Dance Music on my phone. Not the usual stuff that i would listen to but the completely random videos based around EDM. Its been quite fun and helped me find music i would have never normally found or listened to. Never the same clip twice.
Scanning the V8 code will pull up all sorts of different car videos with each scan! Being a bit of a rev head we have tweaked the clips to be skewed towards drifting and burning rubber!
Foodies is my favourite of the top 3. With every scan it pulls a different cooking recipe. It will show all sorts of recipes and food related clips and information! Recipes ive heard before and things id never imagine or think of!
The tech department at Interactive Wear have also found a way to override everyones QR codes to have even more fun with everyone. More on this later on...
Who makes the team up from Interactive Wear?
The team of Interactive Wear is made up of a husband and wife team with the huge support of people all around Sydney and some in Melbourne.
All our clothing is designed,printed on and shipped from Australia. Especially in a post covid world we wanted to help generate as much work as we could for Aussies!
